GREEN TECHNOLOGY
Foam glass is produced by mixing finely ground glass (around 100 µm) with a foaming agent such as calcium sulphate rich gypsum, limestone (calcium carbonate) or silicon carbide. The mixture is heated to between 700 and 900°C, and the gas generated creates a structure of cells to form a porous body.
